I made cookies to give away as gifts to our neighbors and the people Chris works with. I found this fun idea and added my own twist to it. You use your favorite peanut butter cookie recipe and bake it as directed. I use the betty crocker pouches in the baking aisle. Then after the cookies are all made and cooled, you melt a cup of chocolate chips and 1 tbl. of veg. shortening over VERY low heat until completely melted. Then dip two sides of the cookie into the chocolate and then immediately dip it in your favorite candy, nut or sprinkle. I used heath bar bits but crushed peanuts, butterfinger, or even crushed m&m's would be good. Also, you could use holiday sprinkles or anything else you think would taste good with peanut butter! Then let it dry and put in pretty tins to give away! Easy and so yummy!
